Kia ora and welcome to the June edition of Q-notes.It certainly has been an eventful few months across the country as we see the triumphant return of live music and borders reopening to Australia and the rest of the world. Recently, we had the distinct pleasure of performing our first international concerts in over two years at the Canberra International Music Festival and Musica Viva’s season in Tasmania where we proudly flew the kiwi flag with the inimitable Horomona Horo. International audiences were treated to a truly beautiful collection of works by Dame Gillian Whitehead, Gareth Farr, Salina Fisher, Ariana Tikao and Phil Brownlee, amongst other musical programmes and collaborations. Check out what we got up to on tour here. This month we’re delighted to welcome our brand new Marketing & Administration Co-ordinator – Tyler Clarke! Tyler joins us from Tāwhiri where she worked in the ticketing and marketing team for the Aotearoa NZ Festival of the Arts. We caught up with Tyler after a few weeks in the job and found out more about her arts journey so far. And the count-down is on to our 2022 National Tour – First Light where we kick-off next week in Martinborough on Sunday 12 June. We have a luminous array of ticket offers for this Queen’s Birthday Weekend – book now, as these offers won’t last long! We look forward to seeing you all soon to bask in the warmth and glow of live music together once again. Ngā manaakitanga, |
